Note: To update your mobile number in Aadhaar, you need to visit an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre. There, provide your Aadhaar number and the new mobile number. Track Aadhaar Enrolment or Update Status

Step 2: Enter Your Details
Provide your Update Request Number (URN) or Enrolment ID (EID).

Step 3: Verify Using OTP
An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to proceed.
Step 4: View Status
Once authenticated, the portal will display the current status of your Aadhaar request.
Note: You can check your Aadhaar enrolment or update status by calling the toll-free number 1947 from your registered mobile number. After calling, select your preferred language (for example, press 1 for Hindi or 2 for English). Then, press 1 to check your enrolment status or press 2 for update status. When prompted, enter your 28-digit Enrolment ID (EID) or Update Request Number (URN). Follow the voice instructions to hear the status of your request, such as “Aadhaar Generated” or “Under Processing.” Please note, this service only works if your mobile number is registered with UIDAI.
Verify Mobile Number/Email
To enjoy free services, your email and mobile number must be linked to aadhaar:
- Step 1: Visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and Click on the “Verify Email/Mobile” option.

- Step 2: Enter your Aadhaar number and the mobile number or email ID you want to verify.
- Step 3: Complete the captcha code as shown on the screen.
- Step 4: An OTP will be sent to your entered mobile number or email.

- Enter the OTP to complete the verification process.
- If the information matches UIDAI records, a confirmation message will be displayed.

Get Your Aadhaar Number or EID

Generate Virtual ID (VID)
A Virtual ID (VID) is a 16-digit, temporary and revocable number that you can use instead of your Aadhaar Number. It helps protect your privacy while accessing Aadhaar services.
Step1 – Visit the portal: Go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ and select the “VID Generator” option.

Step 2 – Enter your Aadhaar details: Provide your Aadhaar Number and verify your identity with an OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

Visit the portal – Go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ and click on “Order Aadhaar PVC Card.”

Enter your details – Provide your Aadhaar Number and complete the captcha for verification.
Make payment – Pay the nominal fee of ₹50 (inclusive of GST and Speed Post charges).
